City Beneath the Mist

City Beneath the Mist is one of a 3 part series entitled The Colour of Distance.

Each painting traces the muted tones and shifting light of Oslo.

In this painting the soft drifts of grey and rust veil the suggestion of form beneath.  The surface holds both presence and erasure - a city glimpsed through rain, dissolving into silence.  What remains is the quiet hum of memory suspended in the air.
