Winter Light

Winter light is one of a 3 part series entitled The Colour of Distance.

Each painting traces the muted tones and shifting light of Oslo.

In Winter Light pale warmth filters through the coolness of grey and blue.  The painting holds the stillness of a city under snow - hushed, reflective, breathing softly.  In its restraint, it captures the peace found in distance.
